Venom seems overmatched at first but does manage to take down Carnage and Shriek at the end of the day. Although his body is taken over by the symbiote, he is still in control because it didn’t take over his mind. Serial killer Cletus Kasady bonds with Venom’s offspring, a red symbiote, and incites a prison break. Kasady is dead, and his digested head inside Venom doesn’t easily allow Sony to find a way to bring him back naturally. When Kasady transforms into Carnage in front of Eddie and Venom for the first time, Venom retreats from his complete form and goes back inside Eddie. This allowed Venom to step in before they could bond again and put Carnage back inside its own symbiote form. Then, Nieves’ prosthesis resulted to be a new spawn of Carnage, which turned her into a new symbiote called Scorn. The reveal that Venom is in the MCU raises major questions about Venom: Let There Be Carnage, specifically whether or not the sequel takes place in the MCU.
